HOSPITAL BAG CHECK-LIST

Hey lovelies, hope you’re all feeling amazing and doing well! It’s been a long while since writing my last post which was all about listening to our bodies and making the time to look after ourselves. That was important for me during that time because I was getting closer to my due date, feeling quite emotional as I knew I didn’t have long left to meet my baby yet feeling extremely anxious as I didn’t know what to expect for labour.

It took me so long to actually get round to packing my hospital bag because I thought I had all the time in the world and thought it would be really straight forward yet once I started I found that every time I thought I had finished, I’d actually forgotten something, typical. Here is what I eventually packed,

For myself: Slippers, Towel, face towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, body lotion, face cream, deodorant, dry shampoo, hairbrush, hairband, lip balm, seamless knickers, maternity pads, breast pads, hand sanitizer, two pyjama dresses, robe, outfit to go home in, nursing bra, v shape pillow, water (lots of water), plastic water bottle with straw, phone charger and relaxing music (YouTube).

For baby: 3 body suits, 3 sleep suits, outfit to go home in, scratch mittens, hat, blanket, handful of nappies, cotton wool and a car seat.

For daddy: toothbrush, spare outfit, snacks (lots of snacks), water, big cover to keep warm overnight and himself, simple!

Not only did I prepare my hospital bag but unknowingly I was preparing to feel a love like no other.

Love,

L.V.Q.
